TOUR PROGRAM:
Day 1; Marmaris – Rhodes, Rhodes City Tour
Departure from Marmaris Port at 08:45.
After completing the check-in procedures at the ferry office located at Marmaris Cruise Port at least 1 hour before departure, we set sail for Rhodes by fast catamaran. After approximately 1 hour of sailing, we are met by our guide at Rhodes Port and set off to conduct the City Tour. During the panoramic City Tour, we will see the main port of Rhodes, Mandraki Harbor, which was home to the famous Rhodes statue in ancient times, Murat Reis Mosque, the clean beach of Elli Beach close to the city center, Aquarium Area, and the Kritika neighborhood (Greek House) where Turks exiled from Crete lived together for a period. After a photo break at Monte Smith Hill with a magnificent view of both the New and Old City, we visit the archaeological site of the ancient Rhodes Acropolis established in the 3rd century BC. After visiting the Apollo Statue and the Ancient Stadium, we take the bus to the Old Town area. The Old Town area will continue as a walking tour. We visit structures reflecting the shared heritage of the Knights of St. John, Ottoman, and Italians within the historical walls; these include the Street of the Knights, Ahmet Ağa Library, Ottoman Madrassas and Baths, the Grand Master Palace famous for its sculptures and mosaics, the Archaeology Museum, Mustafa Pasha Mosque, Clock Tower, Turkish School, Cem Sultan House, and Ibrahim Pasha Mosque, all accompanied by our guide. After completing the City Tour at the Fountain Square or its other name, Hippocrates Square, we transfer to the hotel for accommodation.
Day 2; Free Day in Rhodes,
After breakfast at the hotel, you can either cool off and sunbathe in the magnificent sea of Rhodes or rent a car to embark on a journey into the past in Rhodes, the richest island in the Aegean in terms of history and culture. In the evening, it is ideal to get lost and take photos in the narrow streets of the old town. Architectural works reflecting the civilizations that have lived on the island with its rich history can be found everywhere. We recommend making a reservation in advance for dining, with seafood restaurants as well as taverns offering alternative Greek music. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 3; Free Day in Rhodes, Rhodes – Marmaris, (Lindos Tour – Extra: 50 Euro)
Departure from Rhodes Port at 16:00.
After breakfast at the hotel, you can either choose to rent a car for a journey through history and culture on the richest island in the Aegean, Rhodes. Alternatively, you can participate in the Lindos Tour, organized additionally by our guide, which is the most charming, warm, and richest town on the island. You can see the locations where some scenes of the film Zorba were filmed in the Kallithea region along the route and visit the Tsampika Monastery, where childless individuals go to pray for children in Greece. In Lindos, you can explore the white houses, narrow streets, and poetically decorated streets paved with white slate and enjoy its unique sea. The Lindos Tour concludes at the port to be used for the return.
Guests not participating in the Lindos Tour should be ready at the port 1 hour before the ferry departure time to go through passport control. After approximately 1 hour of sailing, we will arrive at Marmaris Port.
