TOUR PROGRAM:

 

Day 1; Marmaris – Rhodes, Rhodes City Tour

Departure from Marmaris Port at 08:45.

After completing the check-in procedures at the ferry office located at Marmaris Cruise Port at least 1 hour before departure, we head to Rhodes by fast catamaran. After approximately 1 hour of sea travel, we are welcomed by our guide at Rhodes Port and depart to conduct the City Tour. During the panoramic City Tour, we will visit places such as Mandraki Harbor, the main harbor of Rhodes where the famous Rhodes statue was once located, Murat Reis Mosque, the clean beach of Elli Beach which is quite close to the city center, Akvaryum Region, and Kritika, the neighborhood where Turks exiled from Crete lived together for a time. After a photo break at Monte Smith Hill with a magnificent view of both the New City and the Old City, we visit the ancient Rhodes Acropolis, which contains archaeological artifacts from the 3rd century BC. After visiting the Apollo Statue and the Ancient Stadium, we proceed by bus to the Old Town. The tour of the Old Town will continue as a walking tour. In the narrow streets surrounded by historic walls, we will visit sites that reflect the joint heritage of the Knights of St. John, the Ottomans, and the Italians, evoking a sense of time travel; these include the Street of the Knights, Ahmed Ağa Library, Ottoman Medrese and Baths, the Grand Master’s Palace famous for its statues and mosaics, the Archaeology Museum that used to be a hospital for the knights, Mustafa Pasha Mosque, the Clock Tower, the Turkish School, Cem Sultan House, and Ibrahim Pasha Mosque, guided by our tour leader. The City Tour concludes at the Fountain Square, also known as Hippocrates Square, and then we transfer to the accommodation hotel.

 

 

Day 2; Free Day on Rhodes Island,

After breakfast at the hotel, you can either cool off and sunbathe in Rhodes' magnificent sea, or you can rent a car to embark on a journey through history and culture on the richest island of the Aegean, Rhodes. In the late afternoon, it is the ideal time to get lost in the narrow streets of the old town and take photographs. The architectural works of the civilizations that have lived on the island can be encountered everywhere due to its rich history. We recommend making a reservation in advance for your dinner, with options ranging from seafood restaurants to traditional taverns featuring Greek music.

Overnight at your hotel.

 

 

Day 3; Free Day on Rhodes Island, Rhodes – Marmaris, (Lindos Tour – Extra: 50 Euro)

Departure from Rhodes Port at 16:00.

After breakfast at the hotel, you can either rent a car to embark on a journey through history and culture on the richest island of the Aegean, Rhodes, or you can join the extra organized Lindos Tour, the sweetest, warmest, and richest town on the island, conducted by our guide. On your route, you can see the locations where several scenes of the film Zorba were shot in the Kallithea area and visit Tsampika Monastery, where those without children go to pray for children in Greece. In Lindos, you can wander through the white houses, narrow streets adorned with white flagstone, and enjoy the unique sea. The Lindos Tour concludes at the port used for return.

Guests who do not participate in the Lindos Tour should be ready at the port 1 hour prior to the ferry departure time to proceed through passport control. After approximately 1 hour of sea travel, we will arrive at Marmaris Port.
