TOUR PROGRAM:
Day 1; Marmaris – Rhodes, Rhodes City Tour
Departure from Marmaris Port at 08:45.
After checking in at the ferry office located in Marmaris Cruise Port at least 1 hour before departure, we will set off to Rhodes by fast catamaran. After approximately 1 hour of sea travel, we will be greeted by our guide at Rhodes Port and depart from the port to conduct the City Tour. During the panoramic City Tour; we will see Mandraki Port, where the famous Rhodes statue was located in ancient times, Murat Reis Mosque, and through the clean beach of Elli Beach, which is quite close to the city center, we will pass by the Aquarium Area and the Kritika neighborhood, where Turks who were exiled from Crete once lived together. After a photo break with the magnificent view of both the New City and the Old City at Monte Smith Hill, we will visit the ancient Rhodes Acropolis, which contains archaeological artifacts from the 3rd century BC. After visiting the Apollo Statue and the Ancient Stadium, we will depart by bus to the Old Town area. The Old Town tour will continue as a walking tour. Through the narrow streets surrounded by historical walls, we will visit places that reflect the shared heritage of the Knights of St. John, the Ottomans, and the Italians; such as the Knights Street, Ahmet Aga Library, Ottoman Madrasas and Baths, the Grand Master’s Palace famous for its sculptures and mosaics, the Archaeology Museum, which was once a hospital for the knights, the Mustafa Pasha Mosque, the Clock Tower, the Turkish School, the Cem Sultan House, and the Ibrahim Pasha Mosque with our guide. After completing the City Tour at the Fountain Square or its other name, Hippocrates Square, we will transfer to the hotel where we will stay.
Day 2; Rhodes Island Free Day
After having breakfast at the hotel, you can cool off and sunbathe in Rhodes beautiful sea, or you can rent a car and take a journey back in time to explore Rhodes, the richest island in the Aegean in terms of history and culture. In the afternoon, it is the ideal time to get lost in the narrow streets of the old town and take photographs. The architectural works of the civilizations that inhabited the island with its rich history can be found everywhere. For your dinner, we recommend making a reservation in advance at seafood restaurants or taverns with alternative Greek music. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 3; Rhodes Island Free Day
After having breakfast at the hotel, you can cool off and sunbathe in Rhodes beautiful sea, or you can shop in the island center. In the afternoon, it is the ideal time to get lost in the narrow streets of the old town and take photographs. The architectural works of the civilizations that inhabited the island with its rich history can be found everywhere. For your dinner, we recommend making a reservation in advance at seafood restaurants or taverns with alternative Greek music. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 4; Rhodes Island Free Day, Rhodes – Marmaris, (Lindos Tour – Extra: 50 Euro)
Departure from Rhodes Port at 16:00.
After having breakfast at the hotel, you can rent a car and explore the history and culture of Rhodes, the richest island in the Aegean. Alternatively, you can join the Lindos Tour, which will be organized extra by our guide, to experience the most charming, warm, and richest town in the island. On the route, you can see the places where some scenes from the film Zorba were shot in the Kallithea area, and visit the Tsampika Monastery, where those wishing for children go in the geography of Greece. In Lindos, you can roam around the white houses, narrow streets adorned with white slate pavements, and enjoy the unique sea. The Lindos Tour will be completed at the port to be used for the return.
Guests who do not join the Lindos Tour will need to be ready at the port 1 hour before the ferry departure time, passing through Passport Control. After approximately 1 hour of sea travel, we will arrive at Marmaris Port.
